Christy Johnson is Vice President of the Platinum Excess Trucking Program, where she leads underwriting strategy, broker engagement, and growth initiatives for the company’s excess trucking platform. In her role, Christy focuses on delivering flexible, responsive insurance solutions tailored to complex transportation risks. 

With 14 years of specialized experience in transportation and excess auto underwriting, Christy has a proven track record of profitable premium growth and strong renewal retention. Prior to joining Platinum Specialty Underwriters, she served as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Manager at Core Specialty, where she successfully merged two excess auto products into a unified platform and consistently drove positive results.

Throughout her career, Christy has built a reputation for navigating change with precision, leading teams through system migrations, managing acquisitions, and maintaining continuity for broker partners. She is known for her ability to develop underwriting talent, streamline workflows, and craft innovative solutions in competitive markets.
