Jason Donnelly

Jason Donnelly is responsible for program management and oversight, including operational components, program results, program changes, and program expansions. He works closely with Operations and IT colleagues to enhance technology, improve processes, and integrate systems. Jason is directly involved with carriers, reinsurance brokers, and reinsurers regarding program opportunities and placements. He sources new underwriting teams for Platinum and handles both new and renewal carrier partner presentations. Additionally, Jason enhances Power BI and analytics capabilities to provide underwriters with a comprehensive view of the program portfolio and assists with carrier data reporting requirements and requested information. With his expertise and leadership, Jason ensures the continuous improvement and success of Platinum’s programs and operations.

Jason has held key leadership roles in the insurance industry. From 2005 to 2016, Jason began his MGU career at PGI/Dual Commercial, where he held various roles throughout his tenure, ultimately serving as Executive Director of Programs. As President of Launch Underwriters LLC, he developed a managing general agency (MGA) platform to help entrepreneurial underwriting teams launch self-sustaining programs with full operational support, including carrier and reinsurance backing. He implemented a comprehensive technology stack, including a Policy Administration System (IMS, MGA Systems), a front-end portal (SureFyre and AZUR Technology), and Power BI (Leap Frog).

At (MS) Transverse Insurance Group, as SVP – Head of Program Management, Jason evaluated new program opportunities, collaborated across company disciplines, and led program implementation and management. At Old Republic Specialty Insurance Underwriters, he served as Vice President of Operations, evaluating and managing new program opportunities. He collaborated with the underwriting, actuarial, product, and IT divisions in his day-to-day responsibilities.
