January 28, 2026 – Platinum Specialty Platinum Specialty Underwriters (PSU), a leading specialty underwriting platform, today announced the appointment of Christy Johnson as Vice President of its Platinum Excess Trucking Program. In this role, Johnson will oversee underwriting strategy, broker relationships, and continued expansion of PSU’s excess trucking offering, which is designed to deliver flexible, responsive solutions for complex transportation risks.
Johnson brings 14 years of transportation and excess auto underwriting experience to PSU, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Manager at Core Specialty. There, she successfully merged two excess auto products into a single cohesive platform, consistently achieved profitable premium growth and a strong renewal retention.
