March 20, 2024 – Platinum Excess Trucking, a division of Platinum Specialty Underwriters, announced today a program partnership with Everspan Group, a program insurer rated A- (“Excellent”) by AM Best. Platinum Excess Trucking is a managing general underwriter (MGU) specializing in excess liability for trucking and specialty auto accounts.
The Platinum Excess Transportation program offers excess liability coverage, including Auto Liability, General Liability and Employers’ Liability, with limits up to $5 million for local, intermediate, and long haul trucking operators as well as specialty auto businesses such as waste haulers, petroleum product haulers, contractors’ fleets, moving and storage, and ready mix, sand and gravel haulers. Coverage is distributed exclusively through wholesale brokers and is available in all states except Hawaii and Alaska.
Platinum Excess Trucking focuses primarily on smaller to mid-size accounts, up to 150 units, with the ability to offer capacity for larger accounts within its underwriting guidelines.
